Almost all of the insurance business in the Netherlands Antilles and Aruba is handled by Insurance Brokers. Insurance Brokers, are specialists in all areas of the insurance business. As their client, they will give you advice relating to all aspects of insurance.

As their client, brokers will give you advice relating to all aspects of insurance, including:

• The type of cover most suitable for your circumstances and your budget.
• The insurance company that has the best Policy to meet your needs.
• What you should do if you are unfortunate enough to suffer a loss or damage.
• Continually updating your insurance policies to reflect changes in values, or your circumstances.
• New products that have been introduced to the market that may be of particular benefit to you.

Having obtained all of the relevant information relating to you and your circumstances, your Insurance Broker will seek the most suitable insurance solution for you by requesting quotations from the various insurance companies that operate in the Netherlands Antilles and Aruba. They will then advise you on the best solution for you, and with your authority they will instruct whichever Insurance Company that you have chosen to issue the policy.

You will pay the premium to the Insurance Broker, who when paying the premium to the Insurance Company is permitted to deduct an amount (known as a commission) as payment for their service to you. An Insurance Broker's commission varies depending on the type of insurance, and the insurance comany that is used.
